easter love.

I have a serious number of pictures from yesterday.  We had such a wonderful Easter.  It was so much fun celebrating Easter with Jack, and we look forward to when he is old enough to know and understand why this day is so amazing! I was going to only put up a few pictures, but decided to add many more for a few special Jack-lovers out there [Ms. Maureen and Julia].

 My picture editing software got deleted, so I can't figure out how to flip my photos right now.  But I love this one!  And I think he kind of looks like an old-fashioned ice cream man.  Or Colonel Sanders, according to my brother.

 He was so excited about yesterday, he finally slept on the walk.  But it was against his will, if he'd had his way he would have been up all day celebrating!  

 I think I love this puppy.  

 He's recently started scrunching up his nose when he's happy or laughing.  Apparently I did the same thing when I was his age per some pictures we recently found.  Looks pretty cute on him though.  

 Yes, I do love this puppy.

Happy New Year!

We have had an awesome weekend!  Tommy was off work yesterday and today so we really enjoyed our extra time together.  Yesterday my sister babysat Jack while Tommy and I went on a lunch date and went shopping.  It was so fun and a great time for us to reconnect-- we haven't had much alone time since we moved.  Thanks Lindsay for loving on Jack and loving us too!

Today we celebrated with breakfast out!  It's one of our favorite things to do, and it's definitely a special treat.  We went to We're Cooking.  Never been there before but my brother is a big fan, and now I see why.  Love the hospitality and kindness of the man working there, love the food.

Christmas.

What a glorious time celebrating our Savior's birth!  It was so wonderful to be around our family.  So nice to be here, to live here, and to get to be immersed in time with them.  Loved being able to sit back and relax without thinking that we would have to leave in a few days.  Again, lovin being back in Knoxville!

Christmas was so sweet having Jack with us this year!  He brought more smiles and child-like spirits to the celebration of our Lord.  It's a wonderful thing to see grown-ups get down on the floor and play and be so silly.  Love that God reminds us to be child-like.

 

We ate so many delicious meals.

We played and talked and laughed and hugged and kissed Baby Jack again and again and again.  Such celebration.

This statement has a new meaning for me this year.

I couldn't resist the Santa diapers.  If you're changing that many diapers a day, might as well have fun with it, right?  Plus he just looks so cute!  And yes, I am well-aware that he looks huge in those top pictures.  That's my boy!  :)

the season is upon us.

We moved to Tennessee two and a half weeks before we left for our first trip with Jack heading across the country to Colorado.  So when we first moved it was kind of a waiting game for this trip.  Now the trip has come and gone and we can finally settle in.  Now we get to settle in and celebrate Christmas!  So excited for all of the joys that this season brings.

I want to give this one a try for Jack Jack.

the morgans go to colorado.

We did it- we survived our first trip as a family of three!  We had a great time in Colorado.  Beautiful sites.  When we go there I am obsessed the whole time thinking that I cannot believe Tommy grew up there!  It is gorgeous-- and he grew up with those huge mountains in his backyard.  Seriously awesome.

We enjoyed beautiful sites and had some sweet times.  There were several challenging parts to the trip that we had not anticipated.  First off, Jack got sick 2 days before we were leaving.  The day before our trip, which just happened to be the day before Thanksgiving, I took him to the pediatrician who said he had an ear infection.  This is #2 for our sweet boy, and this one was much more nasty than #1.  It made #1 look like a beautiful spring day.  He also had a wicked cold-- like the kind where you can't breathe.  So he got started on antibiotics, and on Thursday morning we hopped on the plane for his first ever flight!  He did awesome-- especially considering his poor ear.  His ear hurt him a lot and he kept pulling on it.  But we made it.  Then he had some rough days and nights with high fevers, lots of crying, nasal suctioning, antibiotics, ibuprofen, ear drops, Vick's baby rub, and temp taking.  My diaper bag was a pharmacy.  Then he stopped peeing, which seriously scared me.  2 1/2 days of almost completely dry diapers, and we were up in the mountains!  Thankfully, his little body started healing and he is much better.  Still struggling to breathe, but much better.

Glad we went.  Love being with friends on their special day.  Happy to be home.  Ready to start celebrating Christmas!
